E.g Children play with a feeding simulation and randomly achieve success or failure, without making links between action and result.

Use ICT to explore real and imaginary situations. Make choices and draw conclusions.

E.g. Children answer 'what if ?' questions using a visual simulation of feeding animals. They see the relationship of food to number, and can explain what has happened and why.

Understand they can explore a simulation and use this to change things and solve problems by identifying the rule

E.g. Children understand a simulation such that they can plan and reason what will happen as a result of changes.
