E.g. As part of work on a traffic survey children interpret a pictogram, or interpret a graph showing the most popular fruit in the class

Be able to collect information to create a pictogram or chart to demonstrate their findings, and explain what it shows.

Make a collection of objects.  Choose one (but keep it hidden).  Describe the object & pupils guess what it is.  Pupils take turns in choosing & describing objects.
